Vehicle Accident Reconstruction Expert Opines on Fatal Car Crash

This case involves a head on vehicle collision that resulted in the death of one of the drivers. The plaintiff arrived at the top of a small crest, at which point he drifted into the oncoming lane. As soon as he realized this, he immediately corrected his direction. The defendant swerved over and hit the plaintiff head on. The defendant sustained minor injuries, while the plaintiff sustained incapacitating injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. It was alleged that the defendant did not correct her actions prior to impact causing an accident and inflicting severe and debilitating injuries to the plaintiff that ultimately led to his death. In the consequent trial, an expert in accident reconstruction was needed to opine on the collision and present a visual demonstration of their findings using Jvt image processing.

I have been reviewing similar cases for over 24 years, both as a police officer and as an accident reconstruction specialist. I have seen several similar cases in the past, and have been trained to investigate and recreate accident cases for all types of vehicles. If the other driver was distracted then it would be clear that the accident was his or her fault. Provided with the right evidence it should be possible to determine what happened here and to diagram the events of the crash.
