Technology Experts Opine on USB Design Dispute

This case involves the analysis of USB technology in multi-host capable devices. The plaintiff corporation holds various patents pertaining to multi-host capable USB device controllers as well as automatic switching between multiple USB host devices. The defendant company sells products which implement multi-host type USB devices in a “host to host” device that enables multi-host functionality. It was alleged that this “host to host” technology infringed upon the plaintiff’s patents. An expert in USB technology was sought to opine on the technology in question.
