This case involves a man who was working in a large food factory in Montana, which produced a number of baked products for different companies. The man was working as a quality assurance monitor at the plant, where he was tasked with taking samples of product at various stages in the manufacturing process in order to be tested. On the date of the incident in question, the man was on a catwalk above a large industrial mixing vat when he fell into the equipment and was killed. inline imageI have been practicing forensic economics for over 15 years. I have worked on many wrongful death cases in which the company or contractor had been accused of negligence. I have been involved in several cases that involved workers falling off machinery, catwalks, and other elevated surfaces. I can prepare a report that explains and calculates the components of economic loss, and damages in particular, including determining the earnings that the decedent could have reasonably been expected to earn if they had not died. I have given expert testimony in wrongful death cases in court as well as deposition testimony. I have spoken in front of trial lawyers in multiple states several times, including some cases that involved how a forensic economist puts together a wrongful death report section-by-section.
