This case involves the victims of a domestic terrorist attack that was funded by an international bank. The bank in question allegedly evaded domestic economic sanctions, conducted illicit trade-finance transactions, and disguised financial payments in order to support and finance the terrorist group that committed the attack. An expert in the Anti-Terrorism Act was sought to calculate the economic loss occasioned by the deaths of the attack victims.

Expert Witness Response E-175388

inline imageI have 30+ years of experience calculating economic loss and have testified before state and federal court. I was one of the principal testifying experts before the Federal 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. Of the 9/11 victims I testified for, several were also military personnel. I have also calculated loss for multiple military personnel over my career. I would look into earnings, fringe benefits (retirement plans, etc), post-attack job options, among other factors to calculate loss.
