Prof. Michael Braun

Prof. Michael Braun has several decades of experience in business marketing and the core of his research is the statistical analysis of large and complex customer databases with an emphasis on consumer lifetime value, effectiveness of advertising, and customer retention. He earned his BA from Princeton University, his MBA from Duke University, and his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to consult for a series of technology companies while serving as an associate professor of marketing and management at MIT. He is active in his field as a member of numerous professional organizations and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on sales forecasting, customer retention and valuation, and predictive analytics. Currently, he serves as an advisor for a cloud-based software company and as an associate professor of marketing at a university in Texas.
