Prof. Lucian Lucia
Prof. Lucian Lucia earned his BS in Chemistry from the University of Florida, where he also completed his PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry. A member of the International Academy of Wood Science, he is a fellow of the American Chemical Society and has chaired their Cellulose & Renewable Materials Division. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Chemistry in the Institute of Paper Science at Georgia Tech. He currently teaches a prominent university in the Southeast while also holding faculty appointments at various universities in China, South America, and Africa. He is an internationally renowned scholar in forest biomaterial science and engineering.
