Ms. Latoya Harvey

Ms. Latoya Harvey has worked in the child welfare system for over 20 years, focused on foster care and child welfare. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin and her MSW in from Eastern Michigan University. In her former position as Manager of the Protective Services Program, she was responsible for the supervision of social workers tasked with assessing risks of abuse or neglect in the children they worked with. Throughout her career, she has served on numerous boards and committees focused on CPS policy and procedure, including the CPS advisory board of Wayne County, Michigan. She has also held many training roles where she worked with CPS specialists, schools, and other agencies involved with child welfare. Currently, she serves as the Director of child welfare for a non-profit in Michigan.
