Mr. James V. Pugel has nearly 40 years of experience in Law Enforcement and Safety. He earned his BA in Political Science and English Literature from the University of Washington and completed additional training at the Washington State Basic Law Enforcement Academy, the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the FBI National Academy. Previously with the Seattle Police Department for 31 years serving at numerous ranks, he retired as Interim Chief of Police. He then served as Chief Deputy with the King County Sheriff’s Office until 2018. He is currently an Independent Expert Witness specializing in Police Practices.
