This actuary has over 30 years of experience in his field. He earned his BS in economics from Wharton School of Commerce & Finance, his MD from Temple University School of Medicine, his MBA in healthcare administration at the University of Chicago, and his MS in bioengineering from Duke University. He also completed a medical residency in obstetrics & gynecology at Texas Tech University. He is a certified FSA actuary and a certified healthcare executive. This expert is active in his field as a member of the Society of Actuaries and the American Academy of Actuaries. Formerly, he served as an actuarial consultant in the employee benefits practice at William M. Mercer, as a consultant in clinical systems and informatics research at Partners Healthcare System, as a senior director of clinical product development at Avandel.com, as an assistant vice president/actuary in healthcare economics at Cigna Healthcare, and as a SVP/head in medical informatics & quality metrics of the US quality algorithms at Aetna. He then moved on to Deloitte Consulting LLP where he held several roles including a firm health actuary and senior manager of healthcare human capital practice as well as a chief medical informatics officer of the Convergehealth program. Most recently he has served as a vice president & actuary of = enterprise clinical analytics at Health Care Service Corporation and as a vice president & actuary of member management analytics/diversified business at Anthem BlueCross BlueShield. Currently, he is a sole proprietor & principal of a private actuary practice in Illinois.
