Mr. Frank Griffo

This licensed acupuncturist has been in practice for 14 years. He earned a BA in comparative religion from the University of California Berkeley and a MS in traditional Chinese medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco. He went on to complete an internship in acupuncture and herbal medicine through the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and two internships in acupuncture through Maxine Hall Health Center and California Pacific Medical Center, as well as an apprenticeship in acupuncture and herbal medicine with Dr. Ou Ching-Chun. A member of the California Acupuncture Board, he previously served as a subject matter expert and was involved with implementation of the state licensing exam. He also served as the head herbalist and a lecturer at Elephant Pharmacy, an assistant professor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and as an acupuncturist at the Center for Neck and Back Pain in Walnut Creek. Currently, he is an acupuncturist and herbalist at a private practice in Northern California, an acupuncturist and herbalist at a multi-disciplinary orthopedic center, and a herbalist at a Chinese herbal extract manufacturer.
