Dr. Yuri W. Novitsky has 17 years of experience in the field of General Surgery. He earned his BA in Biology from New York University and his MD from Albany Medical College. He completed a residency in General Surgery and a research fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center before going on to complete another fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as a Professor of Surgery at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and as the Director of Cleveland Comprehensive Center and the Advanced GI Surgery/MIS Fellowship Program at UH Cleveland Medical Center. He currently serves as a Surgeon, as the Director of the Columbia Hernia Center, and as the Chief of Abdominal Wall Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center. He is also a Professor of Surgery at the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
