Dr. Young Shin Kim has 25 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry with expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She earned her MD in Medical Sciences from Yonsei University College of Medicine, her MS in Medical Sciences from Yonsei University, her MPH in Epidemiology from Yale University, and her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. After completing her residency in Psychiatry at Yonsei University Health System, she went on to complete a research fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Yonsei University College of Medicine. She also completed a fellowship and a research fellowship in Child Psychiatry at Yale Child Study Center. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Hallym University and as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Currently, she serves as a Medical Advisor at Ascent Autism and as a Professor in Residence in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California San Francisco. She also serves as the Director of the STAR Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders and Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the University of California San Francisco and as an Adjunct Professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine.
