Dr. Wudbhav N. Sankar has 14 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University and his MD from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing both his internship in General Surgery and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery through the University of Pennsylvania Health System, he went on to complete fellowships in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Shriners Hospitals for Children. He completed an additional fellowship in Adolescent/Young Adult Hip Preservation Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital, as well. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and as an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and as the Director of the Orthopaedics Hip Preservation Center at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the Director of both the Hip Disorders Program and the Young Adult Hip Preservation Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Furthermore, he is a Co-Director of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery Clinical Fellowship, Director of Orthopaedic Surgery Education, and an Attending Surgeon at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
