Dr. William Carroll

Dr. William Carroll has over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. He earned his MS in Labor Studies from the University of Massachusetts and went on to complete his PhD in Economics at Pennsylvania State University. As a member of the Travel Industry Association and Hotel Sales and Marketing International, he is active in his field and is a recognized leader in the hotel marketing industry. This expert also serves as a subject matter expert in marketing on Expedia's Advisory Group council, where he consults on matters related to digital marketing innovations. He has published numerous peer-reviewed publication including a book on the movement of travel services online as they relate to intermediaries including OTAs and branded distribution. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Global Marketing at Hertz Corporation and Reed Elsevier Travel Group. Currently, he serves as a Professor of Marketing and Hotel Administration at an Ivy League university in New York, a CEO of a marketing economics consultancy, and as a Senior Hotel and Lodging Analyst at a travel industry research firm with clients including Expedia, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, Hilton International, Wyndham Hotel Group, Priceline, and TripAdvisor.
