Previously, he served as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and as an Associate Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Currently, he serves as an Allen I. Hyman Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and as the Chief of the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and as the Program Director of Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and as an Attending Physician at New York Presbyterian Hospital.
