Dr. Timothy Shope, MD, MPH, FAAP

Dr. Timothy R. Shope has 30 years of experience in the field of Pediatrics. He earned his BA in Biology from Kalamazoo College, his MD from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and his MPH in Health Policy and Management from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. After completing his residency in Pediatrics at Naval Medical Center San Diego, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board certified in Pediatrics. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Staff General Pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where he also served as the Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. He was previously Active Duty United States Navy and served as the Specialty Advisor/Leader to the Navy Surgeon General in the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Currently, he serves as a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and as a Physician in the Department of Pediatrics at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He is also the Senior Medical Director of the Pennsylvania Pediatric Health Network LLC.
