Dr. Steven Cohen, MD

Dr. Steven P. Cohen has over 25 years of experience in the field of Anesthesiology with expertise in Pain Medicine. He earned his BA in Liberal Arts from Stony Brook University and his MD from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After completing his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pain Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Today, this expert is board-certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Director of Medical Education in the Division of Pain Medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and as the Deputy Commander and Chief Medical Officer of Clinical Services at 48th Combat Support Hospital of the United States Army. Currently, he serves as the Director of Pain Research at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and as a Professor of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
