Dr. Steven Kmucha, MD

Dr. Steven Kmucha, MD has over 30 years of experience in otolaryngology. He obtained his BA in Germanic language and literature, his BS in biologic chemistry, and his MS in physiology and biophysics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, before receiving his MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine. He later also received his MA in medical management from the American College of Physician Executives and his JD with a concentration in health and healthcare law from the Concord Law School. After receiving his MD, this expert completed two prestigious residencies in general surgery and otolaryngology, respectively, at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in otolaryngology at the Loyola University Medical Center. Today, his is board-certified in otolaryngology. He is also an active an active member and elected fellow of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Moreover, he is very active in academia, having researched and presented extensively and having published over 75 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics related to otolaryngology. This expert previously served as a clinical instructor of surgery and as the assistant director of the voice physiology laboratory at Yale University, as an attending otolaryngologist at the Permanente Medical Group, as a clinical instructor of otolaryngology at Stanford University, as a consultant at the California Ear Institute at Stanford, as the managing partner of San Francisco-Peninsula Ear, Nose and Throat Associates, and as an attending otolaryngologist at the San Joaquin Faculty Medical Group. He is currently an otolaryngologist at a private practice and an attending otolaryngologist at several hospitals in northern California.
