Dr. Steven Freedman, MD, PhD, MPhil

Dr. Steven D. Freedman has 24 years of experience in the field of Gastroenterology. He earned his BA from Boston University, his MD from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and his MPhil and PhD in Cell Biology from Yale School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine, he went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Gastroenterology. Formerly, he served as the Associate Dean of Clinical and Translational Research and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and as a Research Associate Professor at Boston College William F. Connell School of Nursing. Currently, he serves as a Physician in the Division of Gastroenterology, as the Director of The Pancreas Center, and as the Chief of the Division of Translational Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He also serves as a Professor in the Department of Medicine and Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Physician Scientist Track at Harvard Medical School.
