Dr. Steven Haase, MD, FACS

Dr. Steven Haase, MD, FACS has extensive experience in hand surgery. He earned his BA in chemistry from Taylor University in Indiana and his MD from the University of Illinois. He completed an internship and a residency in general surgery at St Joseph Mercy Hospital in Michigan, a residency and fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan, and a fellowship in hand surgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is a member of multiple professional societies including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons. He is a reviewer of 11 different manuscripts, has 31 peer-reviewed publications, and 31 published book chapters. Formerly, he served as an associate program director of the University of Michigan hand surgery fellowship program and as a clinical assistant professor of plastic surgery at the University of Michigan. He is currently the program director of the hand surgery fellowship program and a clinical associate professor of plastic surgery at a Michigan medical school, and the medical director of wound care for a Michigan healthcare system.
