Dr. Stephen R. Thom has 39 years of experience in the fields of Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Rochester, his MD from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and his PhD from the University of Rochester. After completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at UCLA Health, he went on to complete a fellowship in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and as the Medical Director of the Pennstar Flight Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, he serves as a Professor and the Research Director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He also serves as an Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center and as a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
