Dr. Shihab Ahmed, MB

This pain medicine expert has over 20 years of experience in his field. After earning his medical degree from Mymensingh Medical College, he went on to complete a residency in anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a fellowship in pain medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is board-certified in anesthesiology with special qualifications in pain medicine and is a member of the Spine Intervention Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, the International Association of Study of Pain, the North American Neuromodulation Society, and the North American Spine Society. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, 13 book chapters, and has been invited to present internationally. He formerly served as an instructor, assistant professor, and attending pain medicine physician at Harvard Medical School. He also served as a consulting pain medicine physician at several medical centers across Massachusetts. He is currently an associate professor and anesthesiologist at an Ivy League medical school in MA.
