Dr. Sean Banaee

This certified industrial hygienist earned an advanced international degree in occupational health & safety from the National Institute for Working Life in Sotckholm, and a PhD in environmental Health and Safety from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has over 20 years of experience in his field, having served as the HSSE Director at Petzone, the Global HSE Manager for Shell Global, and a Senior HSE Project Manager for Southern California Edison. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association, which invited him to serve on a panel discussing respirator use by coal miners. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor of occupational and environmental health, as well as the program director, at a university in VA. He is also the managing director of an international environmental health and safety consulting service.
