Dr. Scott Karlan, MD, FACS

Dr. Scott R. Karlan has 41 years of experience in the fields of General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Breast Surgery. He earned his BA in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and his MD from Harvard Medical School. This expert has completed his residency in General Surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. Today, this expert is board-certified in General Surgery and a Breast ultrasound-certified Surgeon by the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Clinical Chief, Division Chief of Surgery, Director of Physical Education, and Chief of Staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Currently, he serves as the Associate Medical Director of Surgical Skills Simulation, as the Director of Information, and as a Professor in the Surgery Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
