Dr. Scott D. Nelson has 33 years of experience in the field of Pathology with expertise in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. He earned his BS from Brigham Young University and his MD from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his residencies in Pathology from Chulalongkorn University - Faculty of Medicine and in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Today, this expert is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Director of Clinical Laboratories at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and as a co-director of Non-ACGME Surgical Pathology Fellowships at the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Musculoskeletal Pathology Fellowship Program, the Chief of the Skeletal and Soft Tissue Pathology, and the Manager of the Sarcoma Program at the University of California, Los Angeles. He also serves as the Director of Laboratory Medicine at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center & Orthopaedic Hospital, as the Clinical Professor of Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, and Orthopaedic Surgery at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and as an Attending Pathologist of General Pathology Service.
