Dr. Samuel Friedel, MD, FACS

Dr. Samuel D. Friedel has 41 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. He earned his BS in Zoology from the University of Maryland College Park and his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed both an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus. Today, this expert is board-certified in Ophthalmology. Formerly, this expert served as an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the St. George’s University School of Medicine and as a Part-Time Voluntary Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He also served as the Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Ophthalmology and as the Director of the Opthalmology Residency Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He currently serves as Active Staff at the Friedenwald Eye Institute and as Chief of Opthalmology at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus. He is also Active Medical Staff at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
