Dr. Sakir Gultekin, MD

Dr. Sakir H. Gultekin has over 24 years of experience in the field of Pathology with a specialization in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology. He earned his MD from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. After completing his residencies in Health Administration at Haseki State Hospital and Sisli Etfal State Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Neuropathology at the UMass Chan Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital and Experimental Pathology and Oncologic Surgical Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Additionally, he completed another residency in Anatomic Pathology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Today, this expert is board-certified in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and as an Associate Professor of Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as the Co-Director of Brain Endowment Bank, as the Director of Clinical Research Operations and Clinical Trials Research Innovation, ad as a Clinical Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and and Neurology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He also serves as the Director of Neuropathology Service at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and as an Attending Pathologist at Jackson Health System and the University of Miami Health System.
