Formerly, he was the Vice Chairman of the Parnassus Programs at UCSF School of Medicine and the Acting Chair of the Department of Neurology at UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences. Currently, he serves as the Carmen Castro Franceschi and Gladyne K. Mitchell Endowed Neurohospitalist Distinguished Professor and Professor of Clinical Neurology at UCSF School of Medicine and as the Chair in the Department of Neurology at UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences.
