He earned his BS from the State University of New York at Oswego, his MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine, and his MMM from the University of Southern California. After completing his residency in Pediatrics at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
