Dr. Robert Platt, PhD

Dr. Robert W. Platt has 28 years of experience in the field of Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He earned his BS in Mathematics from McGill University, his MS in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, his MS in Statistics from the University of Manitoba, and his PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Washington. Formerly, this expert held roles as the Director of Biostatistical Consulting Service at Montreal General Hospital, as an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University, as an Associate Director in Information Systems at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, and as the Biostatistics Program Director in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University. Currently, he serves as a Professor (Tenured) in the Departments of Pediatrics and Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health and as the Albert Boehringer (1st) Chair in Pharmacoepidemiology at McGill University, as the Owner of Robert W Platt Scientific Consulting, and as the Research Lead in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health at McGill University. He also serves as an Executive Co-Lead at the Canadian Network for Observational Drug Effect Studies and as a Senior Scientist in Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation - Child Health and Human Development Program at Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre
