Dr. Robert Banco, MD, FAAOS

Dr. Robert J. Banco has 33 years of experience in the field of Orthopedic Surgery. He earned his BA from Gettysburg College and his MD from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing an internship in General Surgery and a research fellowship in Anatomy, he went on to complete a residency in Orthopedic Surgery, all at UMass Memorial Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in Spine Surgery at New England Baptist Hospital and today, this expert is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Tufts University School of Medicine and as President and Senior Partner of The Boston Spine Group, LLC. He was also an Orthopedic Surgeon at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Needham and at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He currently serves as the Owner of Robert J. Banco, MD PC and as a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the Tufts University School of Medicine. He is also an Orthopedic Surgeon at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
