Dr. Robert C. Winn has over 46 years of experience in the fields of Aviation Accident Reconstruction and Engineering. He earned his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. Today, this expert is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the states of Colorado and Alabama and as a Commercial Pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration. Formerly, this expert served as an Academic Instructor, Aircraft Commander, and Instructor Pilot in the United States Air Force, and as a Professor of Aeronautics at the United States Air Force Academy. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Technical University and as the Chairman of the Board, Principal, and Director of Aviation at Engineering Systems, Inc. Currently, this expert is the Principal Emeritus at Engineering Systems Inc where he analyses aviation accidents for airlines, aircraft manufacturers, component manufacturers, the US Department of Justice, and others.
