Dr. Rick Safrin, MD

This board certified pathologist earned his BS in biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles and his MD from the University of California, San Diego. He went on to complete a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, and a fellowship in medical microbiology, at the University of California, San Diego as well. He is active in his field as a member of a number of professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and the Infectious Disease Association of California. Previously, this expert served as a laboratory director for ELIM Biopharm Laboratory, Alvarado Hospital and Applied Proteomics. Currently, this expert serves as a staff pathologist at a hospital in Southern California, the laboratory director of a speciality diagnostic laboratory, and the medical director of the clinical laboratory at a family health care center. He has also served as a voluntary associate clinical professor of pathology at a prominent medical school in California for over two decades.
