Dr. Rick J. Gehlert has over 23 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology from the University of Rochester and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After completing his orthopaedic surgery residency at Ohio State University Hospitals, he pursued an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Gehlert is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation at the University of New Mexico.
