Dr. Richard J. Powell has 30 years of experience in the field of Vascular Surgery. He earned his BS from the University of Maryland, College Park and his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. After completing his residency in General Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he went on to complete his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Formerly, this expert served as Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine and as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He is currently a Professor of Surgery and Radiology and the Anna Gundlach Huber Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He is also the Director of the Heart and Vascular Center for Dartmouth Health.
