Dr. Peter Shields, MD

Dr. Peter G. Shields has years of experience in the field of Medical Oncology. He earned his BS in Biochemistry and American Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania and his MD from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After completing his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Oncology at George Washington University Hospital. Today, this expert is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Associate Director for Cancer Control and Population Sciences at Georgetown University and as a Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He also served as the Deputy Director of the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. He currently serves as a Medical Oncologist at the Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and as the Julius F. Stone Chair in Cancer Research at the Ohio State University Brain and Spine Hospital. He also serves as an Emeritus Professor at Ohio State University College of Public Health.
