Dr. Neil D. Theise has 31 years of experience in the field of Anatomic Pathology. He earned his BA in Oriental Studies and BAS in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed his MD from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at New York - Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia, he went on to complete his fellowships in Gastrointestinal Pathology, Liver Pathology, and Liver Transplant Pathology at Tisch Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital, respectively. Today, this expert is board certified in Pathology and Anatomic Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. Formerly, he held roles as the Director of Hepatopathology and the Liver and Stem Cell Research Laboratory, as a Professor in the Department of Pathology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and as a Professor in the Department of Pathology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Currently, he serves as the Lead Scientist at The Pop Test & Palisades Therapeutics Companies and as an Attending Physician in the Department of Pathology at NYU Langone Medical Center. He also works as the Co-Director of Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology and as a Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
