Dr. Nader Moazami, MD

Dr. Nader Moazami, MD has over 20 years of experience in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. He earned his BA from New York University and his MD from Columbia University. He then completed an internship and residency in surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Today, this expert is board certified in thoracic and cardiac surgery and is a member of several professional associations, including the American Association for Thoracic Surgery, the American Heart Association, and the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. He is also active in academia, having written almost 200 peer-reviewed publications and has presented both nationally and internationally. He formerly served as an assistant and associate professor of surgery, as well as the director of cardiac transplantation and the total official heart program, all at Washington University in St. Louis. This expert later was the director of cardiac transplantation at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, the director of heart failure, cardiac transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support at the Cleveland Clinic, and a professor of surgery at Case Western Reserve University. Currently, he serves as a professor of cardiothoracic surgery and as the chief of heart and lung transplantation and mechanical circulatory support at a top medical school in New York.
