Dr. Michael S. Gelfand has nearly 45 years of experience in the field of Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. He earned his MD from First Moscow State Medical University and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor University Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Formerly, this expert served as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine and as an Attending Physician of the Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation Service at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Currently, he serves as an Attending Physician and as Chief of the Division of Infection Diseases at Methodist University Hospital. He also serves as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine.
