Dr. Maurice G Sholas has years of experience in the fields of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. He earned his BS in Biology from Southern University and A&M College, and both his MD and Ph.D in Neurosciences from a combined program at Harvard Medical School. After completing a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, he went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab. Today, this expert is board-certified in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Formerly, he served as the Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation at the Lousiana State University Health Sciences Center and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. He is currently an Owner and Principal of Sholas Medical Consulting, LLC and an Attending Pediatric Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician at the Ochsner Medical Center.
