Dr. Matthew W. State has 28 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry and Neurology with expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Currently, he serves as the Chair and Oberndorf Family Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco, as the Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health at UCSF Health, and as the President of UCSF Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital and Clinics. He also works as the Principal Investigator of the State Lab at the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences, as the Director of the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute at the University of California, San Francisco, and as the Executive Director of Psychiatry at the UCSF Child, Teen and Family Center.
