Dr. Mark R. Sochor has over 23 years of experience in the field of Emergency Medicine and Biomechanics. He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, his MS in Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanical Engineering from Wayne State University, and his MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine. After completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center, he went on to complete his research fellowship in Injury from the University of Michigan and his fellowship from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Today, this expert is board-certified in Emergency Medicine. Formerly this expert held roles as Director and Vice-Chair of Research and Director of Trauma and Injury Research Fellowship in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, respectively. He is also the Medical Director of the Center for Applied Biomechanics at the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science and the President, Senior Consultant, and Expert Witness at the MSMD LLC.
