Dr. Mark Jacobson, MD

Dr. Mark Jacobson has over 36 years of experience in the field of Infectious Diseases. He earned his BA in Literature and Philosophy from the University of California Berkeley and his MD from the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency in Medicine at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center, he went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at UCLA Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Formerly, this expert held roles as a Clinical Health Sciences Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine, and as an Editor for the Ward 86 Medical Management Recommendations posted on UCSF’s HIV InSite website. Until late 2021, this expert served as an Infectious Diseases Consultant for the Occupational Health Services (OHS) COVID-19 Team at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and as a Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine.
