Dr. Maria Houtchens, MD, MS

Dr. Maria K. Houtchens has over 16 years of experience in the field of Neurology, focusing on Women’s Health and Multiple Sclerosis. She earned her BA in Russian Literature, her BS in Biology, and her MD from the University of Utah. She completed her residency in Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and stayed on to complete a fellowship in Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis. She also completed a research fellowship in Neuroimmunology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Neurology. Formerly, this expert held roles as an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School and as a Co-Director of Women’s Neurology Fellowship Training Program at Brigham and Women's Hospital, as well as the DIrector of the Women’s Health Program at Partners Multiple Sclerosis Center. Currently, she serves as the Director of Clinical Care and the Women's Health Program at the Partners Multiple Sclerosis Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital, as well as an Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.
