Dr. Marc Melcher has over 20 years of experience in the field of Abdominal Transplantation. He earned his BA Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry from Harvard College, MA, and PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of California, and MD from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. After completing his residency in Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center, he pursued a fellowship in clinical transplant surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Melcher is board certified in general surgery and certified for Kidney, Liver, and Pancreas Transplantation. Formerly, he held roles as Associate Professor of Surgery and Associate Program Director at Stanford University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as Professor, Chief of Division of Abdominal Transplantation, and Program Director of Abdominal Transplant Fellowship at Stanford University.
