He earned his BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and his MD from the Emory University School of Medicine. After completing both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia Hospital, he went on to complete a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Emory University School of Medicine. Today, this expert is board-certified in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. Formerly, this expert served as the Director of the Public Health Infectious Diseases Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh and as an Associate Professor of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He currently serves as a Professor of Infectious Diseases and as the Associate Chief of Epidemiology and Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is also a Professor of Epidemiology, as well as Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. Furthermore, he is an Attending Physician at UPMC Presbyterian.
