Dr. Ken Schaecher, MD

Dr. Ken Schaecher, MD has been involved with healthcare policy development and assessment for over 20 years. He earned a BS in biology from South Dakota State University and a MD from the University of South Dakota, and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Utah. Board certified in internal medicine, this expert is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Professional Coders. Previously, he served as the Chairman of the Utilization Review Committee for Pioneer Valley Health Plan, as well as the Medical Director of Utah Physicians Management, Utah Premier / CNN Network, Intermountain Healthcare and SelectHealth. Currently, he serves as the Associate Chief Medical Officer of a healthcare plan in Utah, in addition to a supervising physician at a local medical school and an internist at a medical clinic.
