Dr. Joshua M. Abzug has 11 years of experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in Pediatric and Hand Surgery He earned his BS in Biology from York College of Pennsylvania and his MD from Penn State University College of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital, he went on to complete his fellowship in Hand Surgery at the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center. He completed a second fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics at Shriners Hospitals for Children, Philadelphia, and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Today, this expert is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Formerly, this expert held roles such as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and as an Assistant Residency Director of Resident Education in the Departments of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Orthopaedics and Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as Deputy Surgeon-in-Chief at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital, and as the Director of Brachial Plexus Clinic and the Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland Medical Center.
