Dr. Joseph Wang

This distinguished expert is currently a professor of astronautics, aerospace, and mechanical engineering at a highly regarded university in southern California. He received his BS in engineering mechanics and thermophysics at Tsinghua University and his MS in aeronautics and astronautics and his PhD in plasma physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has been an author on over 70 publications in his field and has been invited to present at over 40 seminars/conferences. He has been a visiting professor at Kyushu Institute of Technology and Kyoto University in Japan and a visiting scientist at the French National Aerospace Research Laboratory. He has served as a principal member of the engineering staff at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and as the co-director for the Center for Space Science and Engineering Research at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is currently a professor of astronautical engineering at a university in southern California.
