He earned his BA from Yale University and his MD and PhD in Biochemistry from The Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bass completed his residency in Medicine at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and a fellowship in Endocrinology at The University of Chicago. Currently, he holds the position of Charles F. Kettering Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Molecular Medicine at Northwestern University. Dr. Bass is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and metabolism. Formerly, he served as Division Head in Endocrinology and Metabolism at NorthShore University Healthcare System. Dr. Bass has extensive experience post-fellowship training.
